Rollin' In The Rye

Marreese Speights slams it over Tyreke Evans while drawing a foul

Marreese Speights was able to help the Los Angles Clippers take the lead against the New Orleans Pelicans in breathtaking fashion.

With just under 10 minutes to play in the 4th quarter, Speights used a pump-fake at the 3-point line to create space, before he saw an opening to attack the rim. The 6-foot-10 power forward didn’t waste any time, instead he rose up and threw down a powerful poster dunk over Tyreke Evans, who fell straight to the ground while Speights picked up a foul.

Speights would convert on the 3-point play, and give his Clippers a slight 82-81 lead. He wouldn’t have his typical Mo Buckets-outing, finishing with 11 points on 4-12 FG, but he was able to make up for Blake Griffin’s absence by throwing down a nasty poster dunk.¬†Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be enough to rally the Clippers to victory, as they ultimately lost 102-98.
